Exercise can change lives in a holistic way, and the good news is anybody can do some sort of activity relevent to their needs. I've designed programmes for a large range of clients irrespective of abilities. To mind there is only a couple of conditions where exercise is considered counter productive. My personal policy around being active is pretty rigid, being and staying active largely comes down to personal motivation and choice. Like any choice we make it comes with consequences that we need to accept our part in. I do consider myself very fortunate that 25 years ago I chose a hobby which unintentionally became a lifestyle and a profession, and as I approach 50 I can safely say that Im very grateful for that choice. I also feel that should something unforseen happen or when the ageing process finally catches up on me as it will, then I shall have to modify my exercise regime accordingly to maintain a quality of life which can only be defined in the context at the time. I shall have to keep using what I've got while I've got it – For me there is NO EXCUSES
